I get made fun of everytime I mention I am a league of legends player. It is so crazy the negative stigma the game has. Is it justified? Perhaps.

Favorite video games !!!Video game as cringe is a hard topic. They used to be a seen as a nerdy, unpopular hobby, but as the Internet became more widespread, they became a global phenomenon.
In Korea, ~70% of the viewers who watch proffesional "League of Legends" esport competitions are female. This is a stark constrast to North America, where the audience is pre-dominantly male.
Whenver someone speaks very passionately about videogames, they are typically labeled as cringe, as it is frowned upon by society to be so engrossed in a virtual world that you become detached from society.
Perhaps what we consider as cringe is merely an extension of our fears, in trying to maintain a "normal" society.
